Theres this chip yihi has promised us that should deliver 250w and have a 4.3' screen but seems a dec 2015 release is more likely than 2014 as they wrote lol also temp and heat controllable it says, seems they aimed very high įinally I got the data USB cable from Amazon and I upgraded the firmware from v4 to v5. Also the fact it can be flashed with new firmware might mean someone else can reprogram it too if smok doesnt manage to sort it out more, unless the chip itself has a limit. I think the m80 is still some great value overall, at around the same price as the m65 but taking 2 batteries that I'd assume have good amp limits.

Farsalinos was going to be doing some studies soon regarding wire and even wicking materials although I saw an interview with him on a french youtube channel though the interviews all in english where he talks a bit about future studies and suggests that organic cotton seems the best material so far - Thats true about there only being a fahrenheit option! The vir does celcius although it requires remembering quite a few steps to know the whole menu with just 1 led, guess once the settings are in its alot easier but would be nice to have a screen to see the exact battery voltage at least. There seems to be a few concerns in using nickel by some and titanium too but also a lot saying its fine, I guess the only way to know more would be to see a study on it. That pev 40 sounds interesting too, hadn't even heard of it yet.

In the review where the device was stress tested and ended up with 2 devices no longer firing up an atty, it seems it might b best avoiding pushing it to its limit though, like charging at 1amp rather than 2 as it seemed to get very hot at 2 and maybe also not building down to its limit as well at vaping at 80w too often - could have happened for some other reason Yea seems VIR hasn't been mentioned around much, I think since box mods have really become big and high watts, the gg products are more of a smaller niche now. Seems its a good priced device though just for regular watts mode.

Also it seems the other temp control chips like the dna 40 go through some synchronisation period at first which I havn't seen on the current m80 reviews, they also require the chip and the atomizer to be at the same temperature to have a more accurate base line reading. The m80 might work with titanium and stainless steel wire too for temp control or at least if it works at all, those types of wire would be more likely than kanthal as it seems the method the chips use to measure the resistance changes due to heat would mean kanthal would be very tricky to do this.
